Hundreds of protesters rallied in Medford and Grants Pass on Saturday as part of a nationwide day of protest against the Trump administration and billionaire Elon Musk.
More than 1,200 "Hands Off" demonstrations were held across all 50 states. The rallies were organized by Indivisible and other progressive groups that led similar protests during the first Trump administration.
After sweeping a Southwest Conference doubleheader over the weekend, Grants Pass scored three runs in the seventh inning Monday to clip Lincoln 5-3 in a non-league baseball game at Hillsboro Stadium.
The Cardinals (2-7) scored two runs in the fifth inning to make it 3-1, but the Cavemen (6-2) got a run in the sixth and three in the seventh to jump ahead.
Cameron Holland went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Grants Pass. Braeden Reese scored two runs in the win.

The U.S. Department of Education is rescinding nearly $3.5 million in funds already appropriated by Congress to improve Oregon students' literacy and math skills.
The Oregon Department of Education announced the cuts last week, saying they learned in a notification from the feds that the funds were terminated, effective March 28 — 10 months earlier than anticipated.
Watercolor artist Elizabeth Schilling submits her piece, "Mine Always," for the Watercolor Society of Oregon's exhibit at the Grants Pass Museum of Art. Schilling said the painting depicts her daughter and granddaughter. The exhibit, which opened on Friday and runs through May 23, features artists from throughout the state.

Visitors to the Grants Pass Museum of Art over the next seven weeks are in for a rare treat.
Through May 23, the museum is displaying all 80 juried entries in the Watercolor Society of Oregon's Spring Exhibition.
In the past, the museum has been fortunate to be one of several stops for a traveling exhibit of the 20 award-winning paintings from a WSO exhibition.
