KENNER, La. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a motorist was found unconscious inside a car submerged in a canal.

The 58-year-old man was rescued from the canal in Kenner Wednesday evening, The Times Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate reported. Kenner police brought him to a hospital.

The man's condition was not immediately available, and few other details were released.
