CINCINNATI (AP) — A 9-year-old boy playing with a gun accidentally shot his 15-year-old-brother in the leg inside their family's Cincinnati home, authorities said, but the injury was not considered life-threatening.
Police responded to the home early Tuesday and found the teen, who had been shot at least once in the leg. He was taken to a hospital, but further details on his injuries were not disclosed.
The younger boy was not injured and was being questioned by police. It wasn't clear how he got the gun or if he would face any charges.
A babysitter was in the home when the shooting occurred, but authorities haven't said if that person witnessed the shooting. The children’s mother was not home at the time.
