Police: Man, Woman Fatally Shot In St. Petersburg Home

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Authorities have identified a possible suspect in the fatal shootings of an 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man in St. Petersburg.

Police said in a statement that they have taken someone into custody, but they haven't released the suspect's name. The shooting happened Thursday night in St. Petersburg's Bartlett Park neighborhood.

Investigators said the suspect was “known to at least one of the victims." The person was arrested a few hours after the shooting on unrelated charges.

Police said they found the bodies of Barbarajean Lombard and Tommy Dixon when they responded to a 911 call at 11:08 p.m. Thursday.
