Kentucky State Police: Man dies in logging accident

HARLAN, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say a man died in a logging accident.

News outlets report troopers were called to the Cranks community of Harlan County around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning for reports of a workplace accident.

A news release says 36-year-old John Williams was injured while working. Preliminary investigation indicates that he was at working at Three States Coal Sales and Logging Company. Williams was taken to an awaiting ambulance and was pronounced dead.

An autopsy will be performed. An investigation is ongoing.
