WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A 21-year-old woman has been arrested in the shooting death of a man in downtown Wichita on Jan. 1.
Isabel Martin was arrested Monday on possible charges of first-degree murder and recruiting gang members. She was held without bond on Tuesday.
Martin was the third suspect arrested in the death of Gabriel Campos-Torres, who was found suffering from gunshot wounds on a sidewalk near downtown Wichita. He died at the scene.
Police spokesperson Charley Davidson said investigators developed new information that implicated Isabel Martin in the shooting.
Police had previously arrested Noah Martin, 19, and a 16-year-old boy in the death. Firearms also were found inside a home where police believe Campos-Torres was shot.
Davidson said Isabel Martin and Noah Martin are siblings.
Noah Martin was originally booked for second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm. He was rearrested last week for two counts of failure to comply and remains jailed on two bonds totaling $400,000, KAKE reported.
