HILLSIDE, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a collision involving a small bus from a northern New Jersey senior center took down a utility pole but didn't cause any serious injuries.
The accident in Hillside occurred around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities say a car apparently ran a stop sign and collided with the Hillside Senior Center bus, which was carrying 12 passengers. The car struck the rear right side of the bus, which then hit the pole, sending live electrical wires down on the bus.
Those aboard the bus were all taken to the hospital. Authorities say some people had minor injuries, while others were being evaluated as a precaution.
The car driver wasn't injured. It wasn't immediately clear if the driver would face charges..
