Casino to extend sports betting hours for March Madness

LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) — Twin River Casino in Rhode Island says it's planning to extend its sports betting hours during the NCAA basketball tournament.

Casino general manager Craig Sculos tells WPRI-TV he expects March Madness will be the "biggest swing of days that we've had."

He says there may be an opportunity to take in even more money on the basketball games than the Super Bowl.

Sculos says they are estimating a large crowd Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Lincoln casino. Twin River also operates a casino in Tiverton.

It is unclear how long hours will be extended.
