Undercover investigation leads to arrest of Kentucky teacher

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Kentucky teacher accused of requesting sexually explicit images from a detective posing as a juvenile has been arrested.

William Oneal Lindsey, 29, of Brownsville was charged Wednesday in a federal criminal complaint that accuses him of attempted production of child pornography and attempted online enticement, U.S. Attorney Russell Coleman said in a statement. He was arrested at Edmonson County High School without incident, the statement said.

The investigation began Jan. 7 when a detective with the Kentucky Attorney General's office, who was posing as a 15-year-old girl, was contacted on a chat website by a man whom detectives later identified as Lindsey, the Daily News reported, citing an affidavit filed by the detective.

The suspect began sending messages of a sexual nature and "requested to receive sexual images and requested to engage in sex acts with the (detective),” the affidavit said.

No attorney is listed for Lindsey in federal court records and no court date has been set.
