KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Two woman were killed when another driver crashed into the sports utility vehicle they were riding in on Interstate 4, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The women, ages 54 and 59, were both ejected from the SUV as it overturned on Monday night in Osceola County, the agency said in an accident report.
Troopers said both vehicles were heading north around 10:50 p.m. when a 28-year-old driver “moved right for an “unknown reason" and hit the SUV.
One woman was dead at the scene and the other died a short time later at a hospital, the agency said. The SUV's driver and another passenger suffered minor injuries. The driver of the car that hit them also suffered minor injuries, the agency said.
An investigation continues.
