Police: Family dispute led to St. Louis County killing

NORMANDY, Mo. (AP) — A 25-year-old man is dead and a man described as a person of interest is in custody followed a shooting spurred by a family dispute in St. Louis County.

Police were called to an apartment complex near Normandy around 10:30 a.m. Sunday and found a man with gunshot wounds lying in the front yard of the apartment building. The victim, identified Monday as Demarcus Davis of Florissant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 43-year-old man at the scene was taken into custody but had not been charged as of midday Monday. Detectives said an investigation showed the shooting occurred following an argument began between family members.
