Woman dies after stolen vehicle crash in southeast Missouri

NEW MADRID, Mo. (AP) — Authorities say a 37-year-old woman died when a stolen truck she was driving crashed.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash Friday morning on a New Madrid County road killed Heather Hicks, of Piedmont.

The patrol says a Ford pickup went off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned.

Hicks was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
