HOWLAND, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine said they have identified a 3-year-old boy who was found dead in a town north of Bangor and are continuing to investigate.
Police were notified Saturday of the death of Justin Jenkins Jr. in Howland. Maine State Police's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the child's death, the Bangor Daily News reported.
The medical examiner's office performed an autopsy on Monday but has not released any of the results. Police have not released details about what could have caused the child's death.
Justin's mother brought the child to a hospital in Lincoln, where the child was pronounced dead, an assistant district attorney told the Daily News.
