YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) — Three suspects, including a 17-year-old, were arrested for a drive-by shooting that injured four people, authorities said Saturday.
About 10 people were on a sidewalk in Yonkers on Thursday afternoon when a car drove by and an assailant with a handgun fired at least ten shots from a rear window, according to the Yonkers Police Department.
Police believe the shooting was gang related.
The suspects were being charged Saturday with second-degree attempted murder, felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said. One of the suspects, the alleged shooter, is 17 years old.
Police were still looking for one more suspect in the shooting.
Three men were hospitalized in stable condition with gunshot wounds to their lower bodies and a 28-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical but stable condition with a chest wound, according to police.
