MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves were without their top three big men for a key matchup Tuesday night with the Denver Nuggets.

A head injury sidelined Naz Reid and a sprained left rib kept Rudy Gobert out for the third straight game.

All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns missed his seventh straight game with a meniscus tear in his left knee.

Reid sat out of the second half on Monday at Utah after taking an elbow to the head. Coach Chris Finch said he didn't believe Reid's absence would be long.

All-Star Anthony Edwards, who was also hurt the night before against the Jazz, was in the starting lineup against the Nuggets after being listed as questionable due to a sprained and dislocated left middle finger. The injury occurred during a breathtaking dunk that was one of the league's top highlights of the season.
