More changes are coming to Grants Pass as a result of the sale of the Flying Lark.
On Tuesday, the Josephine County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to set up a permanent fund for the county fairgrounds using the money from the sale of the would-be racino to River Valley Church.
The sale, which was finalized in May, was for $9.5 million. The property had a real market value of $24 million and was on the market for $14.9 million. Read More »

The Medford Mustangs hit a pair of first-inning home runs and cruised to a 13-7 victory over the Grants Pass Nuggets in a AAA American Legion non-league baseball game Wednesday night at Agnew-Lytle Field.
After Medford (2-0) leadoff hitter Freeman Rountree singled to start the first inning, center fielder Triston Wallace cleared the left field wall for a two-run homer, staking the Mustangs to a 2-0 lead. Read More »
The Josephine County Board of Commissioners voted on Tuesday to terminate county funding for the city of Grants Pass' Firewise program.
The county has been paying for one position at the Grants Pass fire department to administer the Firewise program, a national initiative to educate homeowners about reducing wildfire risk for their property. Read More »
