The Dallas-based company said it had profit of 37 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 43 cents per share.

The industrial manufacturer posted revenue of $798.8 million in the period.

Trinity Industries expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.70 to $1.80 per share.
