HOBOKEN, N.J. (AP) — HOBOKEN, N.J. (AP) — The Hain Celestial Group Inc. (HAIN) on Wednesday reported a loss of $48.2 million in its fiscal third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Hoboken, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 54 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and non-recurring costs, came to 13 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 7 cents per share.

The organic and natural products company posted revenue of $438.4 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $464.5 million.
