Betting favorites for Wimbledon

With only two of the top 10 women's seeds remaining in the bracket, 2022 champion Elena Rybakina has become a heavy favorite for the championship, listed at +110, according to BetMGM Sportsbook. The second choice is Emma Navarro (+375), who never before had reached the quarterfinals at a major tournament. Jannik Sinner, who is ranked No. 1, is listed as the favorite for the men's title at +160, ahead of Carlos Alcaraz, the defending champion, and seven-time champ Novak Djokovic, who are both at +240. There's a big gap to the fourth choice, Taylor Fritz, who is listed at +1100.

Who plays at Wimbledon on Tuesday?

The singles quarterfinals get started with two women's matches and two men's. At Centre Court, No. 1 Jannik Sinner plays No. 5 Daniil Medvedev at 1:30 p.m. local time (1230 GMT, 8:30 a.m. EDT), followed by No. 7 Jasmine Paolini against No. 19 Emma Navarro, who already has eliminated Grand Slam title winners Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka. Sinner vs. Medvedev is a rematch of the Australian Open final in January that Sinner won in five sets after dropping the first two. Over on No. 1 Court, where play begins at 1 pm. (1200 GMT, 8 a.m. EDT), qualifier Lulu Sun takes on Donna Vekic, before defending champion Carlos Alcaraz meets No. 12 Tommy Paul.

What happened at Wimbledon on Monday?

The last singles quarterfinals were set, including No. 13 Taylor Fritz getting that far at Wimbledon for the second time, thanks to a comeback victory over No. 4 Alexander Zverev. Fritz dropped the opening two sets before winning in five. Fritz faces No. 25 Lorenzo Musetti next, and seven-time champion Novak Djokovic will meet No. 9 Alex de Minaur. Elena Rybakina, the 2022 champion, earned a quarterfinal matchup against No. 21 Elina Svitolina, and the other women's quarterfinal established Monday features a pair of past French Open champions, Jelena Ostapenko against Barbora Krejcikova.
