HOUSTON (AP) — HOUSTON (AP) — Adams Resources & Energy Inc. (AE) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $4.5 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Houston-based company said it had a loss of $1.76 per share.

The oil and gas company posted revenue of $695.2 million in the period.

Adams Resources shares have climbed 42% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $37.05, an increase of 20% in the last 12 months.
