The company said it had net income of $193.2 million, or 91 cents per share.
The self-storage facility real estate investment trust, based in Salt Lake City, posted revenue of $824.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $821.4 million.
Extra Space Storage expects full-year funds from operations in the range of $8 to $8.15 per share.
