The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based company said it had profit of 32 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 48 cents per share.

The grocery store operator and grocery distributor posted revenue of $2.25 billion in the period.

Spartan Stores expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.85 to $1.95 per share, with revenue in the range of $9.5 billion to $9.7 billion.
