The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.18 per share.

The technology and communications company posted revenue of $5.3 billion in the period, meeting Street forecasts.

L3Harris expects full-year earnings in the range of $12.85 to $13.15 per share, with revenue in the range of $21 billion to $21.3 billion.
