When artist Melissa Ghiglieri was painting murals on pillars supporting the Interstate 5 viaduct through downtown Medford, she said her playful mural of dogs dressed in human clothes attracted the most attention.
She painted the murals in 2022 on a section of the viaduct that passes over Hawthorne Park and the Bear Creek Greenway, a popular walking, jogging and biking path. Read More »
New Hope Christian's Ava Barnett won four events and North Valley won the girls' title at the 15-team Frank Good Twilight track and field meet on Wednesday in Sutherlin.
Barnett won the 100-meter dash in 13.3 seconds, the 400 in 1:04.03, the long jump with a mark of 16 feet, 8 inches and the triple jump at 34-2-1/4.
North Valley had three first-place finishes as the Knights captured the team crown with 88.83 points. Glide was second with 87.5.
