Three Grants Pass players shot both of their rounds in the 80s as the Cavers rolled to the Southwest Conference crown on Tuesday at the district girls' golf championships at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell.
Ava Guthrie led the way for Grants Pass, shooting a 85-86ā171 to finish third overall.
The Cavers won the team title by 20 strokes over Sheldon, 698-718.

History teacher Lois MacMillan was the guest of honor at the Grants Pass area Daughters of the American Revolution lunch Saturday. MacMillan won the state and national Outstanding Teacher of American History award and will be going to Washington, D.C. to receive the honor in June.

Grants Pass High School history teacher Lois MacMillan was the guest of honor of the Rogue-Applegate Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which celebrated its 90th birthday on Saturday.
More than 30 members of the DAR were on hand for the celebration, during which MacMillan was feted as the recipient of both the state and national DAR Outstanding Teacher of American History.
