South Medford freshman Alexis Uschold advanced to the quarterfinals with two wins Thursday at the Class 6A girls' tennis state tournament in Beaverton.
Uschold, the No. 6 seed, breezed by Sprague's Hannah Bradshaw in the first round, 6-0, 6-1.
In the second round, Uschold also clobbered South Salem's Sadie Paterson, 6-1, 6-1.
Uschold is slated to play West Linn's Sonya Drayton today in the quarterfinals.
