Republican Christine Goodwin says she's willing to work with majority Democrats in the state Legislature on bills that benefit Southern Oregon, while fellow Republican Noah Robinson says he'll fight Democrats.
The two are battling for the Senate District 2 seat covering Grants Pass, Cave Junction, Central Point and Canyonville.

Grants Pass and visiting South Medford battled to a 4-4 draw through the eight varsity singles and doubles matches Wednesday in a Southwest Conference boys' tennis matchup.
The Panthers took three out of the four singles matches, while the Cavemen won three of the four doubles matches.

South of Grants Pass, a person was found lying on the road, alive but with injuries to the face, when fire crews responded to a report of a grass fire Wednesday night.
The incident was reported at 10:26 p.m. in the 2100 block of Stringer Gap Road.
Austin Prince of Rural/Metro Fire said responding crews found a downed power line, still arcing in the fire area, and an overturned minivan that was engulfed in the fire.
