In a Tom Rice Memorial Cup that couldn't have been any closer, Ryan Richardson used a strong final leg to win his third straight Boatnik hydroplane title Monday on the Rogue River.

Fire restrictions are in effect for all Bureau of Land Management land throughout Oregon and Washington, the agency announced Friday.
The restrictions are intended to reduce the risk of human-caused fires. As of now, the use of fireworks, exploding targets or metallic targets, steel component ammunition, tracer or incendiary devices, and sky lanterns will be prohibited.
